Prepare and perform site survey including photos and measurements or to ensure that designs are good for implementation

•Propose concepts applicable to the requested modification and define the most appropriate one.
•Coordination with engineers in charge or of other discipline
•Prepares detailed design of modification in accordance with standards, codes, and company specifications.
•Ensure that produced drawings designs are safe, easy to built and install and in accordance with company and industries specifications.
•Checks that materials used on design meet Company specifications.
•Modification of existing drawings or establishment of new one
•Ensure technical quality of all documents produced.
•Manage updating and maintenance of technical documents electronic data base.

•Drafter already involved in oil and gas industry since a minimum of 5 years as instrument designer.
•Familiar with CAD software, instrumentation standards
•Preparing manhour estimates, detailed planning and scheduling for the drafting work to be carried out.
•Preparing sketches/proposals for the designers and draftspersons to develop into detailed design drawings.
•Fully understanding the preparation of process flow schema (PFS), process and engineering flow scheme (PEFS) cause and effect matrix, logic diagrams, general arrangement drawings, layouts, isometrics, etc.;
•Carrying out checks on the drawings produced by his/her section.
•Basic design calculations
•Familiarity with both industry and Shell Standards
•Having a sound working knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), AutoCAD techniques, INTools,
•Responsibility for directing and coordinating the work for CAD and use of PDMS for engineering projects.
•Conversant with codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation applicable to draughting function
•Familiar with and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting for draughting function
•Experienced in the supervision of discipline designers and draughtspersons
•Able to liaise with project / lead engineers at all levels
•Computer literate (database / spreadsheets)
•Conversant with company and client draughting standards and specifications
•Conversant with company quality control assurance requirements applicable to draughting function
•Capable of generating co-operative team based culture for groups under his / her control
•Knowledge of personnel issues and aspirations of subordinates
•Able to take a lead in training and ongoing education of subordinates
•Able to contribute to group / discipline objectives applicable to draughting function
•Able to identify improvement opportunities and techniques relevant to draughting personnel
•Able to communicate clearly with engineering personnel
•8- 12 years of experience in offshore, onshore oil and gas projects.
