Adobe Flex Developers (x4), City of London, Banking, 6 months Contracts

FLEX 4 DEVELOPER, CONTRACT, LONDON, CITY, BANKING
Experienced Flex developer to develop user interfaces in Adobe Flex working within multi-skilled scrum teams. The core architecture is being developed in Adobe Flex 4 using the Parsley framework and LCDS for data streaming. The remaining technical stack is Java, Oracle and SQL server.
Development practices are Scrum/Agile. There is a strong emphasis on quality and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all code is scalable, well designed, and maintainable and unit tested before release.
The role will involve:
- Designing solutions
- Writing code
- Implementing automated tests
- Contributing towards release and iteration planning
- Liaison with dedicated QA teams to ensure all tests are completed
The candidate must have the following skills:
- Extensive experience of development in Adobe Flex
- Knowledge of the Parsley framework
- Clean coding skills.
- Excellent problem solving ability.
- Enthusiasm for agile development (Scrum, XP, etc.)
- Knowledge of design patterns and refactoring techniques.
- Fluency with source control systems (Subversion, Git)
- Experience with build tools and continuous integration ( eg Hudson)
- Experience with project and issue tracking tools (eg JIRA)
- A working knowledge of relational databases (preferably Oracle)
- Experience with unit testing and automation testing frameworks (FlexUnit, QTP, RIATest, etc.)
The candidate may also have:
- Experience of working in Java (Spring, Hibernate)
- Experience with Continuous integration servers (CruiseControl, TeamCity)
- Experience with data streaming technologies (LCDS)
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience working within an investment bank
- Expertise in Client Relationship Management, Client Analytics
- Technical writing skills.
