Our client, a well established finance company are looking to recruit a Trainee Account Manager to work closely with the Account Managers to learn the Sales Process in order to manage relationships with the Brokers, increase the number of new business proposals received and ultimately independently manage a geographical area of brokers/customers.
About the Company
Our client is a well established finance company that specialises in the provision of asset finance solutions to businesses.
They help businesses raise finance to purchase new or used assets, or to refinance current assets that the business owns.
Description of duties
Reporting to the Account Manager, main responsibilities include:
Participate in the Company’s training and induction programme to learn the Sales Process Cycle. This will include shadowing an experienced Account Manager so that you are able to:
- Communicate with brokers upon receipt of new business proposals, either face to face or by telephone.
- Grow, nurture and develop successful working relationships with new and existing brokers and customers.
- Ensure that the proposals received meet Company criteria before passing to the Sales Support team to carry out valuations and searches.
- Ensure that all proposal documentation received from the Sales Support team is accurate and presented to the Underwriting team for decision making.
- Visit customers to sign legal documentation and inspect assets.
- Process paperwork as per Company standards in order for funds to be released.
- Carry out direct marketing activities using market intelligence so as to maintain and develop new business opportunities.
- Adopt a professional approach when representing the Company at all times
- To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
Experience/special knowledge/job requirements
Successful candidates will need the following qualifications, experience and personal skills:
- Educated to at least A-level or equivalent Standard
- Holds GCSE Maths and English Grade A-C, or equivalent
- Proven customer service or client facing skills
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Clean full driving licence
- Excellent interpersonal skills, face to face and on the telephone
- Evidence of working as part of a team
- Ability to work as an individual on own initiative
- Results focused
- Presents a professional image
- Confident, can do attitude
- Organised
- Flexible and adaptable to work and working hours
Desirable criteria:
- Recent graduate
- Experience of working in a sales, marketing or business development role
Hours: 37.5 hours – Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm
Benefits: Fully expensed company car, mobile phone, 23 days holiday and free parking. You will also receive sales commission after an initial qualifying period.
