An exciting opportunity to work for one of the marker leaders in production within the road haulage industry.
Job Description
The successful candidate will manage at supervisory level however the individual must be capable of communicating directly with shop floor operatives, and reporting upwards to Senior Management in a clear and effective manner. Motivating to maximise production efficiency coupled with the ability to manage quality and on time delivery. The role will involve a significant amount of planning, and liaising with both internal and external suppliers.
The health, safety & welfare of our employees are of paramount importance, and the individual will be accountable for the safety performance of the factory.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background, preferably heavy engineering, although this is not a pre-requisite. You must be computer literate, particularly; MS Office, ERP / MRP systems, and must be fully conversant with quality systems and standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001).
To succeed in this role you must have experience of production and / or factory management at a senior level. You must be able to demonstrate a track record within labour intensive manufacturing environments where cost improvement, customer focus and leadership are clear to see.
The successful candidate will ideally be degree or HNC qualified in an engineering discipline and have a demonstrable levels of training and development in manufacturing / production techniques and methodologies (Lean, 5S, etc).
