full time Finance Manager

Overall purpose of the role
The role is to support the Head of Management and Financial Information to carry out the central finance functions for ICAEW, including preparation of the operational plan, statutory accounts and the provision of ad-hoc financial reporting across ICAEW. To ensure the finances of ICAEW are managed in an efficient and effective manner and in line with both Institute and external financial guidance (eg IFRS). In addition to manage the finance function of a number of District Societies to support their office holders with the provision of accurate financial information.

More specifically, the role is to:
Support the Director, UK and International Regions, and the regional teams with their finances, including preparation of accurate and timely management accounts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and operational plans.
Manage the year end processes for the international subsidiaries, including preparation of draft statutory accounts, liaising with the external auditors and local management.
Support the office holders of relevant District Societies with their finances as set out in the agreed SLA’s, including provision of month end and year end accounts.

Role Specific competencies

Financial qualification – ACA or other CCAB qualification
Experience of line management in a finance function
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent financial technical skills
Good project management skills
Good IT skills, including Word, Excel and Pro
