Corporate Finance Manager

HMT Corporate Finance is a leading independent adviser covering all aspects of corporate finance transactions, from mergers & acquisitions and company sales to corporate restructuring and management buyouts. We are one of the few corporate finance boutiques able to provide full deal support with a fully integrated offering comprising Lead Advisory, Transaction Support and Tax Advisory services. Our clients include management teams, privately-owned businesses, private equity firms and large corporates.
Whilst we have consistently enjoyed strong deal flow in the £5m-£50m transaction range, we have a track record of delivering transactions for clients across a broad range of deal sizes as well as acting on cross border deals both in North America and Europe. We have also completed a large number of well publicised mandates demonstrating the strength of our offering and our ability to compete with the larger firms both in the local region and nationally. Our success is regularly recognised at the Thames Valley and Solent and other deal awards.
The successful candidate will be a high performer, ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent corporate finance experience in an accountancy firm, mid-tier investment bank or a quality boutique and ideally have a minimum three years’ corporate finance experience gained in the profession. Significant buy-side private equity experience will be advantageous, strength in execution rather than origination is essential. Strong numerical and report writing skills are essential, along with the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of the team. Reporting directly to a Partner, the role will principally involve leading both M&A and private equity transactions typically in the £5m to £50m deal size range. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong analytical and deal execution skills with a high degree of commercial and technical ability. A competitive salary package is offered in addition to excellent career progression opportunities.
Place of employment shall be at the Firm’s office in Henley-on-Thames, however, the role carries a requirement to work at such other places, as the Firm shall from time to time reasonably direct. Requirement to travel within the United Kingdom in the performance of the duties and there may be the occasional overseas assignment.
