We are on the lookout for a Turkish Speaking Learning Support Assistant to join our team in September 2020. We are a mixed 11-18 community school in the heart of Hackney. Our mission is to inspire our students to think creatively and be the bets versions of themselves they can possibly be. We have a large number of EAL students requiring additional support from proactive, patient and supportive educators. 

You will:

• Be passionate about support the individual needs of your students
• Speak fluent Turkish and English.
• Working on a 1:1 and small group basis, building relationships and implementing appropriate strategies to develop student's English Language and general academic progress.
• Liaise with SENCO, class teachers and parents regarding their individual plans and progress.
• Attend regular staff meetings and pupil progress meetings, & school functions.
• Carry out any required duties within the school. 
• Have opportunities for professional development.
• Become part of the school community and share our values.

Requirements:

To apply and commence working with us you must meet the below criteria:  

• An Enhanced working with children DBS or the ability to apply for one through us.
• An up to date CV showing paid employment covering the last two years with contactable professional references for this time.
• Be based within London, or withing commutable areas.
• Be able to provide a police check from countries you have lived in within the last 5 years outside of the UK.
• Be able to show experience working with children in a coaching, tutoring, teaching or mentoring role.  

You must have all of the above to be able to be cleared for work.  

Salary:  

£70-90 per day depending on experience, qualifications and any additional responsibilities.
